Bob Merrill has been working on vehicles for more than 40 years. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor company as a field service technician for 17 years before he and Bonnie opened Horsepower Barn in 1979. Bob is a Master ASE Technician with an L1 certification in Advanced Derivability. Both Bonnie and Bob earned their AAM (Accredited Automotive Manager) degree's in 1996 from the Automotive Service Association Management Institute. Bob was chosen "Napa Maine ASE Technician of the Year 2004." and then......this National news release.. Atlanta Ga... Napa Autoparts and the National Institute for Automotive Excellence (ASE) have named Bob Merrill the 2004 National Napa/ASE Technician of the Year. Presented annually by Napa Auto Parts and ASE, the award is given to a technician who exemplifies excellence and achievements in the industry. BOB MERRILL, owner of HORSEPOWER AUTOCARE in WINDHAM MAINE, was selected for this honor because of his long standing dedication to excellence in the automotive repair industry.This award is the highest level of recognition in the automotive industry. Bob had represented NAPA Maine as a National Finalist in 1984, 1988,1992, 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004.
